About Kocina Leona

I am a home chef turned private cook and caterer currently running my business, Kocina Leona, out of my home kitchen. Formerly, my husband and I owned Streetcar Cafe on Brookland Park Ave in Richmond, Virginia. Kocina Leona was launched on May 26, 2020, the day of my son's 3rd birthday. At the beginning of 2021, I took a leap of faith and quit my job as a private home health aid to pursue my passion as a cook, chef & baker. I provide meal prep, catering, private dinners, and custom cake designs.

As a proud Afro-Latina woman, I believe that Comida Es VIDA! (Food is LIFE!) and I love to make good food! It’s my pleasure to provide healthy, convenient gourmet meals for you, your treasured family, guests, and friends.

The detail that goes into all the sweet treats she makes, and they are so flavorful! I get her to do all my cakes for both of the childrens events. She listens to your concepts. A lot of planning and loves going into all things [she] touches. If you have ever experienced Kocina Leona things you should definitely give it a try. You will not regret it at all!
